Here is a new link to a forum that the LEI website has set aside for Lean in Education. In order to access it you will need to register with the LEI Website. It is free to register for and can be used as a way to easily communicate back in forth with other Lean Educators. Click on the link below to access the website. At the inaugural meeting of LEAN, a team of three investigators began the Voice of the Customer
project to solicit Lean industry needs for higher education curriculum design. Soon after the project
commenced, a fourth investigator possessing online survey expertise was added. A pilot study was conducted
leading to a presentation of results titled "Lean Curriculum Content: A Plant Manager Pilot Survey" at the
2006 Midwest Decision Sciences Institute conference. Thereafter, in light of work commitments, two of the
initial investigators were unable to continue with the project. Given feedback from the presentation, the
remaining two investigators made significant project improvements and have since completed the project titled
"Lean Learning: A Survey of Industry Lean Needs." The full report is now available at:
